The Thuraya Prepaid Backup SIM allows you to keep your Thuraya satellite phone active for emergency use over a long period without a monthly contract. The SIM will be activated with the number of units indicated in the description. No activation fee applies. The SIM can be activated immediately or any date in the future using our easy to use online activation request web page. Calls to Band 1: 2.5 unit per minute Calls to Band 2: 5 units per minute Voice Calls to Catch All per min: 8 units per minute SMS: 0.5 units Renewal Fee: 39 units Minimum billable increment = 1 minute increments, 1 minute increments thereafter Terms & Conditions: Thuraya Backup SIM First call must be made within 365 days, SIM is deactivated if the first call is not made within 365 days from the date of activation. Thuraya Backup plan has a validity of five years from first call. Renewal Fee: $120.00 (120 Units deducted automatically from balance on renewal date) If the account balance is below $120 at the renewal time, the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible). If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored. If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost. If the account is NOT refilled within the grace period, the entire unused balance will be reset to zero and the account will be permanently deactivated. Please note that upon requesting activation of your prepaid airtime you are agreeing that we can start providing your network services before the end of the usual statutory cancellation period and that by doing so, you lose your right to cancel your purchase of the prepaid airtime or request a refund.
